Hugo Ekitike: PSG close to agreement on Reims striker and Newcastle target

Hugo Ekitike of Reims is on his way to Paris Saint-Germain; Newcastle came close to signing the striker during both the current transfer window and the one in January, but completing a deal proved challenging.

Hugo Ekitike, a striker for Reims, is almost completely agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain.

Ekitike must undergo a medical exam and accept the personal details of the contract before it can be finalized, which is worth €35 million in total.

Both in the current transfer window and the one in January, Newcastle came very close to acquiring him, but closing the deal proved challenging.

Gianluca Scamacca’s future at PSG may be affected by the decision; the striker has been linked to a move to West Ham.

West Ham has made a bid for Sassuolo striker Scamacca totaling €40 million plus add-ons, according to Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali.

A bid of €35 million with add-ons was also made by PSG. The Italian team, who reportedly values the player at €50 million, has not yet responded to West Ham’s request.

Carnevali asserts that they are not required to sell and that no deal exists with any team.

Even though Scamacca would adore the opportunity to play with Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe, getting regular games is his top priority.
