West Ham make bids for Chelsea's Armando Broja and Lille's Amadou Onana

After his successful loan season at Southampton last year, the Hammers put together a £30 million deal offered for Broja and made a third offer worth approximately £32.3 million for midfielder Onana. Both players are 20 years old.

West Ham has made offers for Lille midfielder Amadou Onana and Chelsea forward Armando Broja as David Moyes looks to bolster his team ahead of the new campaign.

Broja, a 20-year-old striker, scored nine goals in 38 games in all competitions while on loan at Southampton last season. The Hammers have offered Chelsea a £30 million contract for him.

West Ham is reportedly willing to pay £25 million upfront for the Albanian international. The clubs are still in talks, and Broja is now on a tour with Chelsea in the United States that will stop next in Las Vegas. This week, he was knocked out, although it is not believed to be serious.

This summer, Everton, Newcastle, and Southampton were among the Premier League teams interested in signing Broja.

West Ham has made an improved third offer for Onana, which Moyes has accepted in his search for a midfield reinforcement. Lille is giving the most recent offer, estimated to be worth roughly £32.3 million (€38 million) plus add-ons, considerable consideration.

They stand to make a substantial profit on the 20-year-old Onana, a Belgium international who made 21 substitute appearances and 11 starts in France’s Ligue 1 last season, which they acquired from Hamburg for €7 million last summer.

Nayef Aguerd, a defender, was West Ham’s first acquisition of the summer transfer window. It cost £30 million and came from Rennes. West Ham also exercised a £7.75 million option to purchase goalkeeper Alphonse Areola from Paris Saint-Germain following his productive loan season.

Before West Ham competes in its maiden Europa Conference League season and improves its Premier League standing, Moyes is trying to strengthen his team.
